| Hand graphic techniques
utilized by landscape architects once served as the only means to present
a design to a client. In many offices the speed and efficiency of computers
has replaced much of these traditional techniques. Hand graphics are still
important especially in the early design stages where the exact and rigid
nature of a computer hinders the free flow and quick generation of ideas.
Abbey Associates recognizes the usefulness of hand graphics to allow the
designer's ideas to develop at a stage in the design process where exact
meaurements are not the focus but rather generating new ideas and design
concepts. Hand graphics can be used effectively to convey a general design
idea without taking time to perfect it visually as would be neccesary for
later stages such as presentations and reports. |
