Technical Standards for Developed Open Space 
Minimum Length- no minimum length of planting bed required. All trees spot planted.
Minimum Width- no minimum width of planting bed required. See tree spacing standard below.
Minimum Area- see the minimum planting area below.
Planting Area Character- planted on level to sloping graded planting area with slightly convex planting pits and circular perimeter depression at drip line for irrigation. Mulch with heavy hard wood mulch rings eight (8) inches beyond irrigation depression. Open Space trees may be planted any place on site where minimum planting area space allows. This includes within other required planting areas with no reduction of planting requirements.
Minimum Planting Area- per Class A tree shall be two hundred (200) square feet, Class B tree shall be one hundred (100) square feet, Class C tree shall be fifty (50) square feet
General Planting Standard- three (3) Class A or six (6) Class B trees shall be planted for every five thousand (5,000) square feet, or fraction thereof, of developed site area. This shall be twenty-six (26) trees and fifty two (52) trees per site acre respectfully.
Spacing- Class A trees forty (40) feet on center, Class B trees twenty (20) feet on center.
Planting Configuration- spot planted as specimen trees or as a grove and spaced pursuant to minimum planting area standard with the exception of fastigiate trees such as cypress, pine, popular that may be planted 1/3 distance closer for naturalized look.
Minimum Tree Size- Class A thirty (30) gallon, 3” caliper, 10-12’ tall, Class B trees twenty-five (25) gallon, 2” caliper, 8-10’ tall, multi-trunk or standard. Class C trees shall be 4-6” tall at time of planting.
Other-trees shall be staked with approved staking kit with ‘alligator bag’ attached first ninety (90) days. Tip pruning to shape after planting
